After graduate in LLB, you have more choices to specialise, research, and study Law. In this blog, I will be discussing the various law specializations and what all is included in each of them.

 

Criminal Law

This law field deals with offences against society or state. Criminal law is the body of law that relates to crime. Criminal law includes the punishment and rehabilitation of people who violate such laws. Five objectives are widely accepted for enforcement of the criminal law by punishments: retribution, deterrence, incapacitation, rehabilitation, and restoration.

Civil Law

This law field deals with private rights of individuals, handling breach of contract suits. Civil law is a body of rules that defines and protects the private rights of citizens, offers legal remedies that may be sought in a dispute, and covers areas of law such as contracts, torts, property, and family law.

 

Corporate Law

This law field deals with advising corporations on their legal rights and obligations. The laws touch on the rights and obligations of all of the people involved with forming, owning, operating and managing a corporation.

 

Tax Law

This law Course specialisation focuses on by the government on the income of an individual, corporation or trust, as well as the value of an estate or gift. There are also other forms of taxes, like consumer sales taxes, use taxes, and real estate taxes.

 

International Law

The International Law Specialization is designed for students seeking advanced study in international and comparative law, including international human rights law, and those who intend to practice law in those fields.

 

Labour Law

The labour law learning about the laws governing relations of employee (labour) and the employer (organisation). The students pursuing labour law course have to study about laws related to wages, discrimination, union activity, pensions, unemployment compensation, workplace safety, and workers’ compensation.
